Description
Our 9mm link/charm will add to your Nomination style bracelet. We will create one link for you, not the full bracelet.
The fingerprint charm that hangs from your stainless steel link can be created in two sizes to suit your style or preference:
- 6mm – for the most subtle, dainty finish
- 10mm – slightly larger, for a bit more detail without losing delicacy
The link/charm itself is made from stainless steel, the fingerprint is created in sterling silver from a putty fingerprint impression.

A metal split ring will connect the soldered link to the stainless steel charm/link which fits your bracelet.

The fingerprint charm will have a soldered link through it.

It’s important to understand that not all fingerprints are created equally—especially when it comes to children. Baby and toddler fingerprints are often not fully developed, and they may lack the deep ridges and detail needed to show clearly at this small size. For children under 3, I recommend capturing a wrinkle from the palm of the hand or the sole of the foot instead. These tiny lines and folds often create beautifully textured impressions that transfer well into the jewellery, even when fingerprints don’t.
The clarity of the finished link/charm is directly linked to the quality of the print you provide. If the print is faint, smudged, or underdeveloped, it simply won’t appear on the silver once created. This doesn’t mean your jewellery won’t still be special—it just means the fine fingerprint detail may not be visible. To help you get the best result, I provide easy-to-follow instructions with every kit to guide you through the process of capturing a clear, defined print.
These links/charms are created using a putty impression to create the fingerprint first, it is a soft, reusable material designed to pick up fine lines, ridges, and wrinkles. The depth and accuracy of this method make it ideal for jewellery. What you see in the putty is exactly what will show in your earrings—if there are visible lines, those will be captured in silver; if the print is very faint, it won’t transfer. It’s all in the detail!
Because everyone is beautifully unique, there’s no universal rule about when a child’s prints will be visible. Some babies begin developing clear fingerprint ridges around 12 months, while others take longer. It’s unpredictable, and part of what makes each piece so personal. That’s why I always recommend the palm or foot wrinkle option for young children—it’s a reliable way to achieve the clarity we need to make your earrings truly impressive.
Whether it’s the tiny finger of a newborn, the strong thumbprint of a partner, or the soft wrinkles of a loved one’s hand, these earrings carry emotion in every line. Each pair is handmade with care, created in solid sterling silver, and finished with love. They’re not just earrings—they’re wearable memories, handcrafted just for you.
If you require an impression kit, it will include full instructions, helpful tips, and support every step of the way. If you’re ever unsure about the process or want help deciding which type of print to capture, I’m always happy to guide you.
Please be aware that you are purchasing one link/charm to fit onto the bracelet that you already have.
