Impressive Memories Jewellery

Making a Booking to visit Impressive Memories

To make a booking at Impressive Memories, I ask for a deposit to secure your agreed time and date. This will be deducted from your total on the day of your appointment.  Booking payment can be made via my website at www.impressivememories.co.uk

Cancelling or Rescheduling a Booking

If you require to reschedule your appointment you can do so up to 48 hours prior to your booking. There is a link in your confirmation email which lets you reschedule your appointment. Booking deposits will not be refunded if appointments are (a) cancelled (b)appointment time missed (c)you are unable to attend your appointment at the time you chose. You cannot reschedule within 12 hours of your booking.

If Impressive Memories require to cancel your booking you will be refunded via the source used to pay your deposit.

Order Payment

When attending an appointment for jewellery at the studio, full payment is made of your outstanding order total (minus the booking fee).

If ordering online, or without a booking appointment full payment is required before your order will commence production.

Payment is accepted in cash, Paypal, Credit Card or Bank Transfer. (Fees may apply for using Paypal & Credit Card ).

Cancellation of an online Jewellery Order

If you order jewellery online from Impressive Memories, you may cancel your order at any point prior to me posting your impression kit, for a full refund. If you decide to cancel your order once I have posted your impression kit Impressive Memories will partially refund your order.

You will not be refunded for:

  • Cost of the impression kit(s) supplied 
  • Packaging/Postage costs of £6 per order.
  • £10.00 administration fee is charged per cancelled order. 

Once I receive returned impression/print kits I assume that your order specification is as you wish and will proceed with the images/impressions you provide. If there is an issue with the returned impression/prints you will be contacted. Once I have started producing your bespoke order I cannot cancel your order for any reason.

Cancellation of an in-person Jewellery Order

If you order jewellery from Impressive Memories having attended an appointment at the studio, then wish to cancel your order at any point prior to me commencing production of your order, I will partially refund your order. 

You will not be refunded for:

  • Cost of the impression kit(s) supplied.
  • £10.00 administration fee is charged per cancelled order. 

Once I have started producing your bespoke order I cannot cancel your order for any reason.

Impressive Memories products are made to order, and as such are highly personalised. Consequently, I am unable to use them for any other purpose in the event of order cancellation. Please check your order very closely for spelling mistakes in names and any message. If you see any mistakes, please get in touch as soon as possible as I may be able to correct any errors. I cannot guarantee that I can correct any errors once your order goes into production.

Once I receive the returned impression/print kits I assume that your order specification is as you wish and will proceed with the images/impressions you provide.

Impressive Memories Jewellery Refund Policy for personalised items

All Impressive Memories orders are customised, personalised, and unique, they cannot and will not be refunded.

In the event of a production error where Impressive Memories is at fault (if an item has a spelling mistake), it must be reported by email within 48 hours of delivery. Item & all packaging must be returned to Impressive Memories within 7 days. Impressive Memories will rectify the error.  

An order cannot be changed or altered, for example, the design, shape or style or design, unless Impressive Memories are willing to do so.  In the event of Impressive Memories being willing to change the original order, and there is a financial difference, no refund will be given. If the replacement order has a higher value, full payment will be required before the work is carried out.  

Items that include a photo will be printed as the image is uploaded/provided at 720dpi.  Alternative/replacement photos can be purchased separately & posted to you to fit yourself if you want to change or alter this. 

Impressive Memories Jewellery Refund Policy for non-personalised items

Non-personalised items (additional chains or bracelets not those purchased as part of a set eg a charm with a necklace/ a locket that comes with a necklace) which are unsuitable and unworn can be exchanged within 14 days of receipt of goods. They must be returned within 14 days to Impressive Memories unworn and undamaged. An item must be returned in the original box provided, with the voile gift bag(s) supplied. An online jewellery credit note code will be electronically issued and is valid for 3 months from date items are accepted as returned. Returned items must be sent using a signed-for postal service that insures jewellery in transit (Royal Mail Special Delivery). Postage cost to return unwanted/undamaged items will not be reimbursed.

A faulty item must first be reported (by email) within 24 hours of receipt of delivery, with a video showing clearly the fault stated. If it is agreed that a fault is present you will be told how to proceed with returning the item.  It must then be returned to Impressive Memories in the Impressive Memories box provided and with the voile gift bag & poem/card supplied, within 7 working days of delivery receipt. If the item has been worn, damaged, altered or changed in any way you will not be replaced, refunded. Nor will the returned item be sent back to you.  If the goods are not returned with adequate packaging, are incorrectly addressed or do not carry the correct postage, or become damaged as a result, Impressive Memories may have a claim against you and will not be responsible to rectify the situation.  Impressive Memories will reimburse reasonable postage costs for tracked recorded delivery by Royal Mail (paper receipt must be supplied). If a replacement is offered/available it will be sent by an appropriate method. If a replacement is unavailable a refund will be issued.

Items made with customer's elements (hair, cremation ashes, pet fur)

Your order will most probably look different to any images shown as samples. Each order is unpredictable due to the unique and individual nature of the jewellery and its content. Results will vary depending on each encapsulation and the final appearance cannot be based on a previous photograph shown. If you have a specific look or appearance that you would like, please make your wishes clearly known but accept that this cannot be guaranteed. I am happy to advise and I will try to make an item to your specific wishes but your piece is bespoke and unique to you and no refund, replacement or substitution can, or will, be offered in the event that you are not satisfied by it visually.

When giving these elements to Impressive Memories you accept that you have given the responsibility to Impressive Memories to care for, use appropriately, and return any unused elements. In the event of an issue arising you accept that the elements, once placed in resin, cannot be recovered or removed from the resin.

Once you receive your jewellery it is your responsibility to properly care for it. Resin encapsulated jewellery is not suitable to be worn as everyday jewellery and needs to be carefully worn. It must be kept dry, away from all chemicals, makeup, moisture, sweat, liquid, extremes of temperature & UV light.

Failure to do this will result in your jewellery becoming dull, damaged or even for the resin to come away from the metal.

If you cannot accept this, please do not order.

Memorial putty prints will be returned to the customer with their jewellery order. To remake more items these putty prints must be provided.

Dog nose impressions/fingerprint impressions are not returned but can be, on request, prior to your order being posted.

Necklaces, Chains, Bracelets etc…

After you receive a necklace, chain or bracelet etc (any other non-personalised jewellery items) from Impressive Memories it is your responsibility to care for it correctly.

These jewellery items can, and will, break if handled and/or used incorrectly. Before they are sent to you they are checked for any defect. No refund or replacement will be offered for broken or damaged items. If it is repairable you are welcome to enquire about a repair service quote. Impressive Memories has the right to refuse to attempt any repair if deemed unsuitable.

Timeframe of making orders

I aim to make and return your item in the time stated on the website and your order at the time of purchase, once elements or print kits are returned. During busy periods or during personal holidays this time may be extended. If you require an express service please ask. Please refer to the website for completion/delivery predictions.

All dates are estimates and are not guaranteed. Please make contact before ordering if you have a specific timescale.

Completed jewellery orders are delivered by Royal Mail Special Delivery, tracked and signed for.

Participating in an Impressive Memories Jewellery Event

Impressive Memories offer an event option.  Should you wish to organise or attend an event, please be aware of the following-

Each event is organised with specific costings and conditions and requires a nominated host to ensure that all participants are informed of the details.  The terms and conditions of each event will be given in writing to the host and if agreed to, a booking will be made. All participants wishing to attend will be required to pay a booking fee.  This is not refundable should you choose not to attend, or be unable to attend. The fee is charged to cover travel costs, accommodation & venue hire. All participants will be invoiced with the terms and conditions for the event they are booking.

Full payment is required at the event in the form of cash or Paypal (fees may apply) for all orders placed.  If the parent/guardian is not attending the event, the order & payment is agreed & paid prior to the event.

Return of completed items will be to the original venue, or one agreed by all parties.  Should you be unable to collect your item in person, it is the customers' responsibility to arrange collection.  After collection/delivery, Impressive Memories are no longer liable for the order.

Standard return/refund conditions apply to items ordered at an Impressive Memories event.

Ceramic & Clay Orders

Ceramics are made to your specifications but may need to be altered depending on the design.  

This will be discussed prior to your item is completed. Once I have started producing your bespoke order I cannot cancel your order for any reason.  

If item cracks or breaks during the process of kiln firing & glazing, you will be asked to return and remake your item.

Ceramic items are not microwave, dishwasher or oven proof and should be wiped only by hand.

Making a Life Casting Booking

Cancelling a Booking

Order Payment

When attending an appointment with Impressive Memories, you agree to pay 50% of your outstanding order total (minus the booking fee) on the day of your appointment.  The balance is due on the collection, or within 7 days of being notified that your order is completed.

During a handcast appointment, you will be contacted in advance with tasks to practice before the booking. This is particularly important when casting children. The compound used is time-critical to get a successful casting. There are additional costs (£30 per attempt) to repeat the process. Hopefully, this won’t happen - but that is why practicing before the appointment is vital.

Payment is accepted in cash, Paypal, Credit Card or Bank Transfer. (Fees may apply for using Paypal).

Life Casting Orders

For all life casting commissions, the products remain property of Impressive Memories until payment is made in full. The copyright of the piece, along with the right to make and sell further copies, or use images of the piece continues to remain the property of Impressive Memories at all times unless otherwise negotiated at the time of booking/payment. For commissions where a silicone mould is made of the plaster original at the client's request, the client is responsible for keeping & maintaining the mould.  Suitability for future use is not guaranteed after it leaves Impressive Memories.

All Impressive Memories lifecasting orders are customised, personalised, and unique, they cannot and will not be refunded.

Time estimates can be given for completion but are not guaranteed due to the individual nature of lifecasting.

Orders must be collected by booking an appointment. Orders will not be posted. Failure to attend a booking collection appointment will incur a £40 fee.

Impressive Memories Ltd will not be liable for the safe-keeping of orders that are not collected within 14 days of being sent a completed order email or text.

Life Casting Orders – Animals

Impressive Memories reserves the right to refuse casting of any animal deemed unsuitable.  Live animals must be muzzled if requested. Deceased animal casts must be completed within 24 hours of the animal's death.  Booking fee applies and full payment must be made on ordering animal casts unless agreed by Impressive Memories.

Life Casting Orders – For Deceased

Impressive Memories reserves the right to refuse casting of any deceased person deemed unsuitable, at any stage of the proceedings.   You may be asked to complete a set of questions prior to the casting taking place.

Agreeing to attempt a life cast with a deceased person has no guarantee of success.

You are welcome to share any social media images posted by Impressive Memories.

Images of Impressive Memories life cast orders are taken for record keeping and sharing on social media.

If you do not wish your images to be shared please just make this known at your booking.

However - You may not use Impressive Memories images to modify, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit or distribute, by any means or in any manner, any material or information on or downloaded from my website or social media sites, including but not limited to text, graphics, video, messages, code and/or software without prior written consent, except where expressly invited to do so.

Impressive Memories Gift Vouchers (Standard)

Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Out-of-date vouchers cannot be accepted.

Vouchers are valid for one transaction.

Due to the impact of Covid19 vouchers purchased before March 23rd 2020 have been extended by three months.

Impressive Memories Gift Experiences

Gift Experiences are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Out-of-date gift experiences cannot be accepted.

Choose the 'Gift Experience/Gift Voucher' to make your booking.

If a Gift Experience booking is cancelled, or an appointment is missed, the value of the corresponding deposit is deducted from your voucher. Your voucher will then have an amended monetary value.

To rebook after a cancellation please choose the appropriate appointment type NOT The Gift Experience option and pay the deposit. This reinstates the original value of your Gift Experience.

 

Delivery of Element Kits & Return Packs etc 

Element kits (& return packs etc) are posted on Monday & Thursday.

The grid below will show when your kit will be posted to you.

If you have not received your kit after 7 working days (or 14 days for 2nd class) please get in touch.
